Alternative Nation is getting into podcasting, and the first podcast to join the site is Appetite for Distortion, a Guns N’ Roses focused fan podcast (not officially associated with the band) hosted by Brando. On the show Brando has interviewed members of The Black Crowes, Velvet Revolver, Blind Melon, Anthrax, and many more. While the podcast is focused on Guns N’ Roses discussed, the interviews venture into other rock topics as well. We’re also looking to launch new podcasts ourselves, but the bigger goal is to have more of a network of podcasts, including affiliating with existing ones like we’re doing with Appetite for Distortion. We don’t just want a generic ‘Alternative Nation Official Podcast.’

So if you host a rock podcast focused on alternative rock/a specific artist, or even metal or another type of rock, and you’d like to have it affiliate with Alternative Nation, shoot an email to altnationadvertising @gmail.com. If you’d be interested in starting a new show as well, let us know. We’re interested in podcasts that target certain niches with interesting concepts, may it be focused on a certain band or topic. Anybody who hosts a podcast on Alternative Nation or affiliates their existing show will have access to future business/advertising opportunities and help in booking interviews.

If any readers have any input on what they’d like to hear, let us know in the comments section. Below is the latest episode of Appetite for Distortion with guest Roberta Freeman. Brando said, “Honestly, one of my favorites conversations I’ve had on this podcast. Roberta talks about joining GNR, the UYI tour, how bandmates/management/fans treated her, the November Rain video and a lot more. What an amazing woman, she’s forever awesome in my book.”

Listen to “Ep. 54 – Roberta Freeman, Singer/Vocalist” on Spreaker.
