MC50 have announced full details for their fall tour, which will feature Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil reunite with bandmate Matt Cameron for select performances. The tour is to celebrate MC5’s 50th anniversary.

The full regular lineup features MC5 frontman Wayne Kramer, Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, and Zen Guerrilla frontman Marcus Durant. Drummer Dennis Thompson, the only other living member of MC5, will appear at select dates. King’s X bassist Dug Pinnick was previously announced for the tour, but he’s now been replaced by Faith No More’s Billy Gould. Special guests will include Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron, The Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli, and Don Was.

“Kick Out the Jams: The 50th Anniversary Tour” kicks off on September 5th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and runs through the end of October, concluding with two nights in MC5’s native Detroit. The Detroit performance will be Kim Thayil’s first visit to the city since Chris Cornell’s death last year.
