Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was asked about the objectification of women in rock in a new PBS interview.

PBS tweeted, “Dave Grohl says he has a ‘full rock band’ in his house and they’re all women. In the age of #MeToo, he tells @JeffreyBrown he hopes to see a change in the rock industry’s treatment of women.”

Grohl also says that “to me,” Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders “was the strongest, most ferocious of the melodic punk rockers.”

He also says Starcrawler, with an “incredibly powerful female lead singer,” is one of his favorite new bands now.

Grohl also showed how he brought his daughter on a recent Foo Fighters tour, and how she was working with the tour manager. Grohl’s daughter was asked who the boss was, and she pointed at the tour manager. Dave jokingly responded that he was the boss of the Foo Fighters organization.
