Tool singer Maynard James Keenan recently announced that he has finished recording his vocals for the band’s new album, and in a new tweet, he doesn’t appear to be happy at all with having continue to wait for his bandmates to finish the record.

ACrowleybeast tweeted, “I know that when I am forced to linger on a book longer than I would like to, I feel like the character’s are on life support, and I am ready to come to a conclusion! How does it feel as a musician when it comes to a project that is incomplete for longer than u would like?”

Maynard responded, “Like a slow death.”

Keenan previously tweeted, “Update- Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now. Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts. #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking.”

Tool are set to tour in Europe this summer, and to release their new album at some point in 2019. Maynard James Keenan will release a new album and tour with Puscifer in 2020. Keenan just finished up A Perfect Circle’s worldwide tour for their new comeback album Eat the Elephant.
