In a new Forbes interview, Greta Van Fleet frontman Jake Kiszka discussed negative press coverage the band have received, as many have criticized Greta Van Fleet for their similarities in sound and image to Led Zeppelin.

While they hope to communicate with their fans through the press, among other avenues, Josh said it can be tough for them to read about themselves, especially when there is scrutiny or misinterpretations of their intentions. To that extent, they pay attention to what is being said about them to a good degree, but some publications have lost their trust.

“It is interesting, we have been too busy to contribute much attention to a lot of the press that is being written but we read things here and there and something will pop up and it is either overwhelmingly positive in one sense and in another can be overwhelmingly negative,” Jake said. “I suppose that is to say that we stay very neutral on the subject regarding what is being written. We have no control over it so it’s a very fascinating thing.”

Greta Van Fleet recently won their first Grammy for Best Rock Album, and they have tour dates planned for the rest of 2019 along with a new album.
