Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante was seen at Coachella for the first time since Red Hot Chili Peppers’ headlining performance in 2007, which was one of his final major North American festival performances with the band before exiting during a hiatus following the Stadium Arcadium tour.

Frusciante was photographed with two fans watching a performance at Coachella. Red Hot Chili Peppers fans on the band’s Reddit weighed in.

StAngerSnare posted:

“I like how he’s successfully negated fashion trends. This photo could be from 2007, when almost everyone else’s clothes in 2007 would be dated John has created a timeless look.”

cutieboops posted:

“That’s what we did in the nineties. We went to second hand stores and bought wide collars and sweaters. Beanies were still a hot item, so everyone saved those in the closet, but seems that John caught a good deal on a couple good ones.

-edit- For my husband. I prefer to find a cute top or maybe a cool jacket. I’m simple.”

Vaquelin posted:

“I love John but I’d honestly have a hard time recognizing him in public, he’s just so normal-looking.”

Maddiesin posted:

“What was it like to meet him? How did he react? I mean I’d die if I could meet and have a poc with him, but he doesn’t really like that kind of interaction? So happy for u tho!”

Beezer35 posted:

“He does not like having his picture taken with Justin Bieber apparently.”
