Pearl Jam have announced a live show ‘in conversation’ with comedian Wayne Brady, set to take place on December 16th at 8:30pm EST.

The announcement states: “Join Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band, Pearl Jam and composer, lyricist, and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda for a one night only conversation about their artistic inspirations and why they use their microphones for activism as we raise money to engage the Georgia Latino community in advance of the January 5th runoff election.

Host Committee: Luis Miranda, Loretta & Victor Kaufman, Whitney Williams, Marc Mezvinsky, Howard Wolfson, Jonathan Henes, Adam Blumenthal and Lynn Feasley.”

Fans on Facebook had mixed responses to the news, with top comments on Pearl Jam’s page including one from a fan named David Willingham who wrote, “I’m a Georgian, as well as a Pearl Jam fan. I’ll be voting for the Republican candidates. Sorry, guys, stick to music!”

Jonathan Michael added, “I like their music, but I’ll form my political opinions from someone other than a group of guys who barely finished high school.”

Veeral Gosalia said, “PJ just should stick to music, you know songs like WMA, Glorified G, Bushleager, and Quick Escape.”

John Hartsfield chimed in, “I live in Georgia and I love Pearl Jam. I disagree with their political views but their music rocks. Maybe they can hire John Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to be on their road crew.”

Graham Haworth posted, “Cue the sad triggered conservatives who don’t like music and politics to mix, unless it’s Kid Rock or Ted Nugent.”

Jason Keslo wrote, “All behind gated mansions telling me who to vote for.”
