Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass has reportedly deleted his apology for the joke he made about DONALD TRUMP.
During the band’s show in Sydney Australia on July 14th, just hours after Trump’s apparent assassination attempt, Gass was asked by bandmate Jack Black to make a wish for his birthday, to which Gass replied: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”

In the days following, both members of Tenacious D issued apologies, with Black saying he was “blindsided by what was said” and that he “would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form” before adding that the band will be canceling the rest of their tour and will be putting any of their future plans “on hold.”

Kyle Gass deletes Tenacious D apology

Gass, who also issued an apology to his Instagram, has since deleted the post.

“The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake,” Gass’ statement originally read. “I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone. What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgment. I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.”
Not only did Gass take down his apology just three days after posting it, but according to multiple reports he has apparently liked a post from a Tenacious D fan account urging fans to sign a petition to “bring back the D.”
