Legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham recently revealed that he has been persistently stalked by a woman named Michelle. The musician is accusing the 53-year-old of harassing him and his family for the past three years.

Buckingham states that police were sent to his house after they received a 911 call claiming his 26-year-old son William wanted to hurt himself and that gunshots were heard coming from his residence. Upon arrival, police handcuffed Buckingham before finding out that the 911 call was fake, with it being traced back to Michelle’s phone.

The guitarist detailed the incident, saying that he was sleeping at home when nearly a dozen police officers woke him up last month on November 3.

“When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside of my house,” Buckingham explained. “The reason given was that a 911 call had been received stating that my son William was in my house and [wanting to harm himself] and that the caller had heard gunshot.”

“After about twenty minutes of the police searching my house and me outside in the cold handcuffed, I was let back into my house, shaken and fearful,” Lindsey added.

“I now know that the 911 call was traced to [Michelle’s] phone and was the latest in an unabated pattern of harassment and threatening acts against my family and me.”

Buckingham’s trouble with Michelle began after she got ahold of his wife Kristen Messner’s phone number. Michelle proceeded to call Kristen many times, claiming that she was Buckingham’s daughter and making threats against his family.

Having been harassing them for years, Michelle had also previously sent them a photo collage and even showed up at their house.

Buckingham has since retained a temporary restraining order against Michelle, with her being ordered to stay 100 yards away from the musician and his family. On December 20, a hearing will take place with Buckingham requesting that the restraining order be made permanent.

It is believed by the authorities that Michelle is mentally unstable and dangerous, and Buckingham is afraid her behavior may escalate.
