While speaking to The Guardian in a new interview, Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon Osbourne revealed that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and the remaining members of Soundgarden have been added to the lineup of “Back to the Beginning” – an event which is being billed as Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s last ever performance.

Tyler’s participation in the show will mark one of his few live appearances since he announced his retirement from touring last August. The decision was made after Tyler suffered a vocal cord injury while performing during Aerosmith’s final tour.

While he has not performed any full shows since announcing his retirement, Tyler has taken the stage at least twice, performing at two charity events for Janie’s Fund.

The addition of Soundgarden to the lineup comes just days after it was announced that the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year. Who will step in and sing in place of the late Chris Cornell at “Back to the Beginning” has yet to be announced.

Also set to perform at the event are Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Alice in Chains, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sammy Hagar, and many more.
