The band, known for its politically charged lyrics and revolutionary stance, has consistently criticized what they view as oppressive and inhumane treatment of immigrants, particularly along the U.S.-Mexico border.
During live performances, Rage Against the Machine has displayed banners reading “No Human Being is Illegal” and spoken out against border walls, family separations, and deportation raids. Frontman Zack de la Rocha has used his platform to highlight the struggles of undocumented workers and asylum seekers, arguing that U.S. foreign and economic policies contribute to the instability that drives migration from Latin America.
The band has also supported organizations like the Border Network for Human Rights and RAICES, amplifying their messages during concerts and on social media. In past interviews, guitarist Tom Morello has called immigration enforcement policies “xenophobic and racist,” and urged fans to resist what he describes as a dehumanizing system built on fear.
