AC/DC and KID ROCK Performed at Vince McMahon’s 80th Birthday.
Over the weekend, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon turned 80, throwing a massive birthday bash at Gotham Hall in New York. McMahon went all out for his milestone celebration, with the event including performances by AC/DC, Kid Rock, and another yet to be identified major musical act. McMahon likely paid AC/DC millions to perform.
Other attendees at the private gathering included John Cena, The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Kane, Shane McMahon, Sheamus, R-Truth, Gerald Brisco, Bruce Prichard, JBL, Sgt. Slaughter, and others.
McMahon’s birthday party this past Saturday (Aug. 23rd) marked one of his first public appearances since he was involved in a major car accident in July. McMahon has since been cited for reckless driving and following a vehicle too closely.
WWE have also reportedly ended their ban of Vince McMahon and wrestlers contacting him.
“There was a period when all but a few of Vince McMahon’s closest friends had nothing to do with him, although in a lot of the cases it was because of their wives being appalled from the lawsuit and not wanting their husbands to have an association.
In time, more and more ex-WWE people have been back in contact with him. There was a period when people in WWE were told not to have any contact with him and obviously that’s no longer the case.” (via Dave Meltzer)
