Chris Cornell’s mother-in-law Toni Karayiannis wrote the following to a Chris Cornell fan account on Instagram a couple of days ago.

“This a disease that many have!Chris suffered !Staring a family who stood by him 24/7 helped him a lot ! He changed! Completely ?? Never I was told! U can too! Especially now u have a job a mission that I promise you Chris will want you to do that! To speak abt him ! To put his pictures up make so many ppl smile warm their hearts! U do mine for sure! I wake up look and there u are for all your love to Chris! U know how happy u make me? And so so many others! Not easy to escape that, I know , u need to talk abt it ! It’s important!

And then we turn to doctors hoping a pill is the solution ! Pls be careful! Doctors prescribe very easy these days ! Take a happy pill! We believe he’s a doctor he knows better! So what’s one more , if today is more difficult than yesterday?? And one more for the road! After all the doctor gave it I’m not taking the bottle all good! But prescription drugs have different effect on different ppl! Alters your mind! I can tell u I just found out that !

But now u have Chris ! Always next to u to all of us bec he loved his fans so much! Me? I want to see u putting pics of my golden son! I don’t ever want to wake up have my coffee and not find u here! U give love hope and strength! Just a mom a Yiayia whatever u want to call me i want u here! Chris wants u here! We all need u!”
