AC/DC drummer Chris Slade has announced a tragic loss in a new Facebook post.

“We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our friend rock celebrity photographer Alex Ruffini Music Photographer Thank you for the wonderful memories Rest In Peace Alex.”

Inglorious tweeted, “We at Inglorious HQ are so saddened to hear that the world has lost a wonderful man and true artist in the form of Alex Ruffini the legendary rock photographer. Cancer is so cruel and Alex fought it right to the end. Check out his amazing legacy on his Instagram ❤ ”

Doug Aldrich posted on Instagram, “I’m so sad to find that one of the greatest people in the world lost a long hard fight with cancer:( Rest well my brother. I love you. And you will be so missed. See you on the other side…

Alex Ruffini was all heart. He was a extremely talented artist photographer human.
He always made people feel good and relaxed when you were around him. We were friends since day one and I know I’m just one of the thousands of those people that was grateful for him in my life. Go to @alexruffini to see more of his spirit.

Cancer sucks so bad…. Alex fought a long hard battle… he fought with everything he had… another friend lost.

God please take care of that sweet dude.”

Deen Castronovo tweeted, “I just got the sad news of @AlexRuffini passed this morning from a long bout with Cancer.. Alex and I first met during the 2018 burn it down tour and we became fast friends. I will miss you my brother..Rest In Peace Sir..”
