Ace Frehley’s final performance video

KISS legend Ace Frehley kept rocking until the end of his life. Frehley’s last concert took place on September 5, 2025, at the Uptown Theater in Providence, Rhode Island, marking the end of a five-decade touring legacy. It wasn’t billed as a farewell show, but it turned out to be his final time on stage, playing the songs that built his legend.

The Providence stop came late in what would become Frehley’s final tour — a months-long run across the U.S. supporting his album 10,000 Volts. Kicking off earlier that year, the tour saw Ace return to mid-sized theaters, casinos, and rock festivals, bringing his trademark Les Paul tone and Bronx humor to die hard KISS fans. It was a classic Frehley tour with a mix of KISS anthems and solo favorites.

Fans noted that while he’d slowed down onstage, Ace’s guitar playing was still sharp. He often leaned into extended guitar solos and traded jokes with his band between songs. Ace’s voice retained its trademark grit, and he seemed genuinely energized by his fans — especially at summer festival dates like M3 Rock Festival, where he performed a full headlining set to an enthusiastic crowd.

The tour was scheduled to run into the fall, but on October 7, Frehley canceled all remaining dates, citing “ongoing medical issues” following a fall in his studio and a brief hospitalization. In retrospect, Providence became the unofficial closing chapter of his touring life. Those who were in the Uptown Theater that night witnessed history — the final time the Spaceman shared his music in person with fans.
