BREAKING NEWS: Alice In Chains drummer Sean Kinney has suffered a medical emergency. This has led to the cancelation of tonight’s Alice In Chains show in Connecticut. The emergency is ‘non-life threatening.’

Alice In Chains are set for a powerful return in 2025 with a string of U.S. headlining shows and festival appearances that reaffirm their status as grunge icons. The band was set to kick off a short tour on May 8 in Uncasville, Connecticut, followed by performances in Nashville on May 13 and Dothan, Alabama on May 15.

These dates are scheduled around major festival appearances, including MMRBQ in New Jersey on May 10, Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio on May 11, and Welcome to Rockville in Florida on May 16. The band’s live show continues to be anchored by William DuVall’s commanding vocals alongside Jerry Cantrell’s signature riffs.

In a major international moment, Alice In Chains is also slated to support Black Sabbath at their final show ever on July 5 in Birmingham, England, a historic event that will likely attract global attention from rock fans.

While there’s no confirmation of a new album, Jerry Cantrell has hinted that the band is working on new material. In the meantime, Cantrell is touring in support of his latest solo album, “I Want Blood,” which includes collaborations with several legendary rock musicians. Fans can expect a busy year ahead.
