Artie Lange Makes Rare Public Appearance
Comedian Artie Lange has mostly stayed out of the public eye in recent years, but a rare new photo suggests he’s doing well. The former The Howard Stern Show regular, now 58, was recently spotted at a birthday dinner for fellow comedian Dave Attell.
Spotted at Dave Attell’s Birthday Dinner
The photo, shared on Instagram, shows Lange wearing a backwards baseball cap, with a beard and mustache, raising his hand toward the camera. He was seated at the dinner table alongside several comedians, including Nick Griffin, Russ Meneve, Ian Fidance, and David Juskow. Lange was also sitting next to his sister, Stacey Lange.
Attell captioned the post, “What a birthday..thank you all for thinking of me. see you down the road at a club sometime soon..”
Fans React to Lange’s Appearance
While the celebration was centered on Attell, many fans immediately noticed Lange in the photo. Commenters expressed happiness at seeing him, with reactions like “So great to see Artie” and “Glad to see that Artie is looking well.” Several fans noted that he appeared healthier than in past public sightings.
Health Updates and Sobriety Journey
The photo comes just over a month after Lange was seen publicly in December with what appeared to be a reconstructed nose, following years of visible damage. Lange has previously spoken openly about his struggles with substance abuse and the toll it took on his health. Last year, he shared that he was “eight months clean and sober” and mentioned plans to fully address his medical issues over time.
