In a new interview with former Guns N’ Roses manager Doug Goldstein, he revealed that at least as of the late 90’s/early 2000’s, Axl Rose was not a big fan of Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan. He said Rose was hurt when Billy Howerdel quit Guns N’ Roses’ Chinese Democracy sessions to form A Perfect Circle with Maynard James Keenan. Alternative Nation transcribed Goldstein’s comments.

“He was our programmer, and Axl was really hurt when Billy left. I’m like, ‘Well he’s got to do his own thing, he’s working with Maynard.’ Axl wasn’t a big Maynard fan, there was stuff between them.”

When the hosts mentioned that they thought Axl was a big Tool fan, Goldstein seemed to indicate that Rose’s former psychic Sharon Maynard influenced the Guns N’ Roses’ icon’s dislike of Maynard James Keenan.

“Yeah, Sharon led him to believe that because Maynard lived so close to where Sharon lived – I don’t know.”

In the Guns N’ Roses entourage, Sharon Maynard was known as ‘Yoda.’ She lived in Sedona, Arizona, close to where Maynard James Keenan lives in Arizona.

For a time in the late 90’s and 2000’s, Daily Mail claims all that Guns N’ Roses employees also had to submit a photograph of themselves, which Rose would then offer to guru Sharon Maynard for her ‘psychic inspection’ in order to reveal their true motives. Sharon even demanded pictures of potential employees’ children in order to read their spiritual auras more accurately.

Sharon Maynard’s ability to ‘channel’ spirits has led Rose to believe he has lived many past lives.

At least one date on the 2002 GNR tour was cancelled after she expressed concerns about ‘energy fields’ in Minneapolis.

Rose apparently had ‘trouble’ in areas of the country that had a strong magnetic field. The tour was called off two weeks into its run after a series of no-shows by Rose provoked riots from fans.
