Axl Rose and James Hetfield ran into each other and spoke at Ozzy Osbourne’s final show, decades after their feud stemming from a riot during the Guns N’ Roses and Metallica 1992 tour.

On Saturday (July 5th) at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, the original members of Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward) reunited for the one-day-only, star-studded event “Back to the Beginning.”
Billed as Black Sabbath’s final show and as Ozzy Osbourne’s last ever live performance, the band performed to a sold-out crowd of 40,000 attendees, bidding farewell to fans as they celebrated their long, legendary, career.
The event’s lineup also included other rock and metal icons, including: Metallica, Alice in Chains, Tool, Pantera, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sammy Hagar (Van Halen), and many more.
Actor and musician Jason Momoa was also in attendance, serving as the event’s host. At one point, Momoa hopped off stage and dove straight into the audience, joining the pit during Pantera’s set.
“I’m more than just a fan, man. I’m obsessed with Black Sabbath and the bands that are here tonight,” Momoa said. “Man, all of this is in our DNA. Every character that I’ve ever played has been inspired by this music and built by this music.”
Due to Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, the legendary musician performed while sitting in a throne, singing hits like “Mr. Crowley” and “Crazy Train” before being joined by his Black Sabbath bandmates.
Together, he, Iommi, Butler, and Ward performed some of the band’s classic tracks, including “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid.”
“Let the madness begin!” Ozzy reportedly told crowd. “I don’t know what to say, man, I’ve been laid up for like six years. You have no idea how I feel — thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
