In a recent interview, veteran bassist and songwriter Bob Daisley addressed his exclusion from Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming final concert, scheduled for July 5, 2025, in Birmingham, UK. Daisley, who played a crucial role in Osbourne’s early solo albums, stated that he was neither surprised nor disappointed by the omission. He remarked, “To be honest, I don’t think I’d want to be a part of that day. It could be awkward and potentially an embarrassment, but we’ll see.”

Reflecting on his past history with Osbourne, Daisley noted that he also wasn’t acknowledged during Osbourne’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last year. He attributed this to longstanding legal disputes and personal differences. “I knew that was coming,” he said. “There’s been some bad blood and legal issues, so I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t get a mention.”

Despite his significant contributions, including co-writing much of Osbourne’s early material, Daisley recognized that past lawsuits over royalties and credits had strained their relationship. However, he insisted that he harbors no resentment and wished Osbourne well for his farewell performance. The concert, featuring the original Black Sabbath lineup and other notable guests, will mark a historic moment in rock music.
