Night Ranger bassist Jack Blades has reignited talk of a Damn Yankees return after sharing a nostalgic post marking the band’s early history, prompting fans to plead for a new tour or even a fresh album. The comments quickly turned into a call-to-arms from listeners who still associate the supergroup with early-’90s radio staples and arena-sized hooks.

In the post, Blades celebrated the milestone with an old photo and wrote, “36 years ago today… What a fun kick ass band it was, still have a smile on my face!!” with fans replying that they want “at least one tour” and another record.

“Give us at least one tour, record at least one more album for the fans,” one Damn Yankees fan commented on Jack Blades’ post.

“I need a damn yankees 2026 tour!” another fan wrote, while a third added: “Don’t care if you can pull the vocals off for a full set or not, give us one more round!”

Damn Yankees originally united Blades, Styx guitarist and vocalist Tommy Shaw, guitarist Ted Nugent and drummer Michael Cartellone, and the group’s brief run still stands out as one of the era’s most commercially successful hard-rock collaborations. Blades’ latest reflection also underlined how strongly that lineup continues to resonate decades after the band’s initial burst of activity.

While there has been no official confirmation of new shows, Nugent-related headlines regularly keep his name in circulation; in one recent example, a separate Alternative Nation report noted a bizarre claim involving Ted Nugent and an alleged earthquake moment.

For now, the renewed chatter appears to be driven entirely by fan reaction rather than any announced plan from the musicians, but the volume of responses to Blades’ post shows that interest in a Damn Yankees reunion remains very much alive.
