A surreal moment from Adelaide during a performance of AC/DC has taken over social media after a video clip surfaced showing swarms of bats filling the twilight sky above the concert crowd.
Bats fill the sky during AC/DC performance
The clip, filmed during the band’s set at the BP Adelaide Grand Final, shows bats circling overhead as the rock legends powered through their setlist. The unusual sight quickly surfaced on social media, with amused fans leaving fans believing that it was Ozzy Osbourne sending his regards from heaven.
The spectacle unfolded during what was already one of the most electric days in Adelaide motorsports history. The event drew a record Sunday crowd of 102,200, who stayed long after the Repco Supercars Championship decider to catch AC/DC headline the night.
AC/DC delivered a remarkable show. Frontman Brian Johnson bounded onstage with “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It),” cracking jokes, pulling faces, and radiating joy throughout the night. Johnson even nodded to the motorsport action earlier in the day, declaring that race cars and rock ’n’ roll make for the perfect combination.
Lead guitarist Angus Young, ever the ageless schoolboy in uniform, matched Johnson’s energy with his signature duckwalk and mischievous theatrics. Together, their performance kept the massive crowd locked in.
The concert showcased exceptional rock musicianship and showmanship by a band that proudly represents Australia’s rich musical heritage.
