HOWIE MANDEL APOLOGIZES to PISSED OFF comedian BILL BURR and BILLY CORGAN for forced “family reunion.”

In November of last year, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan appeared on Howie Mandel’s podcast “Howie Mandel Does Stuff,” during which he revealed that he thinks there is a possibility he and comedian Bill Burr are half-brothers.

Corgan explained that over a decade ago, his stepmother suggested that Burr could be the son of his late father, William Dale Corgan, who was a traveling musician.

The frontman even said that when he was younger his father admitted to him that he had another son who was born around the same time as Corgan and who’s name is also Bill.

Then, last month, Burr appeared on Mandel’s podcast, during which Mandel brought Corgan into the studio to surprise the comedian. Burr, however, did not seem happy with the whole thing.
When Corgan walked into the room, Burr immediately called Mandel an “a**hole,” and then said to Corgan: “Did you ever think the fact that I never told that story that, you know, you shouldn’t?”

Prior to the podcast, neither Corgan nor Burr had ever met or spoken to each other.

Following the release of the episode in late January, Mandel received some backlash for orchestrating the ambush-style meeting. This surprised Mandel, who later explained that he thought he was doing something good.

Mandel has since said that he has reached out to Burr several times, but has not received a response. Just this week on a new episode of his podcast, he even publicly apologized to both Burr and Corgan for the whole ordeal.

“A sincere apology to Bill and Billy. I didn’t mean anything. Please call me or check in with me. I am truly sorry,” he said.

Shortly after Burr’s appearance on Mandel’s podcast in late January, he sat down for an interview on the “Rich Eisen Show” where he was asked about the interaction. Burr bluntly stated that he did not appreciate what Mandel did, and called him a “Hollywood wh*re.”
