Former Blink-182 singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge has shared a new photo where he says he’s lost a lot of weight.

“Ok, I’ve been eating healthy … yes, dudes, long over due…. and now I’m dropping a bunch of glorious LBs… just shedding this shit like a beautiful fucking butterfly coming out of a silky cocoon and flying away- far from tacos and joyous vanilla coffee creamer… oh, and tacos. Now, remember I’m only 22 years old, so we can all agree I should look mad different than this…”

DeLonge’s former Blink-182 bandmates are wrapping up work on a new album.

“It’s very different to California,” Mark Hoppus explained to NME in a new interview. “It’s a lot more aggressive. It’s darker in theme and tone. If you like California to Enema of the State then this album is more like the untitled record where we are trying to experiment more: trying to experiment more, trying different sounds, and trying to expand upon what people think Blink 182 is.”

Hoppus revealed that Blink-182 have recorded over 40 songs for the new album, though they’ll choose the best from those tracks. He said regarding the album’s inspiration, “I think that the world is quite a strange place right now in general. People are really wound up, everyone is on edge and that seeps into everything that you do.”

He added, “There’s also a lot of hope and positive things happening in the world. Hopefully we are moving the world in the right direction, even in the face of all of these strange obstacles.”
