Blink-182’s new song “Edging” has leaked, their first new song with Tom DeLonge since 2012’s Dogs Eating Dogs EP.

tunacans wrote on Reddit, “I love it!!! Makes me smile. It’s for sure not the most groundbreaking or intricate thing they’ve done but I feel like they had a shit ton of fun making it. And that energy really comes through

For me personally that was exactly the Blink I was hoping for, just non-pretentious, catchy and fun.

I laughed out loud at the “wanna play” bit and those drums right after… kinda cringe but I’ll get over it. At least it’s funny! 😂”

t3hzm4n said, “I like it! Is it a masterpiece? Nah; a little on the safe side, and I think Mark’s vocals in his verse are just as badly overproduced as they were in the Feldmann albums. With that said, this song is more instantly catchy than most of those songs, and the classic chord progressions and guitar tone bring a warm and fuzzy feeling. It immediately sounds like blink-182, and I will gladly take that for a first single back, especially after how many people complained about Up All Night as a return single in the previous reunion.

Lyrics:

I ain’t that cool, a little fucked in the head
They’ll be hanging me quick, when I’m back from the dead
Get the rope
Get the rope
Get the rope
Get the rope

I’m a punk rock kid, I came from hell with a curse
She tried to pray it away, so I fucked her in church
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know?
Yeah, Don’t you know?

They say you’re not safe here if I stay
With a knife that sharp, no way

No, I lead the broken hearted
Oh no, look at the mess we started
Oh no, I lead the broken hearts this way (this way)
Whatcha say? (Whatcha say?)
You wanna play?

Yeah, don’t be fooled, I’m only letting you down
They pursued me on foot, but I hid in the crowd
Like a ghost
Like a ghost
Like a ghost
Like a ghost

The seats of my car filled with cigarette burns
I got a fire in my eye, a little blood on my shirt
Let’s hit the road
Hit the road
Hit the road
Hit the road

I know there’s a special place in hell
That my friends and I know well
There’s a perfect place to go
When it’s time to lose control

Oh no, I lead the broken hearted
Oh no, look at the mess we started
Oh no, I lead the broken hearts this way (this way)
Whatcha say? (Whatcha say?)
You wanna play?

Nightmare, Daydream / Oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no)
You can’t save me / Oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no) oh no (oh no)

No way, no I lead the broken hearted
Oh no, look at the mess we started
Oh no, I lead the broken hearts this way

(shit!)

Oh no, I lead the broken hearted
Oh no, look at the mess we started
Oh no, I lead the broken hearts this way
Whatcha say?
Every day?
It’s always
You wanna play?
