Bret Michaels recently said that a Poison reunion tour could be on the table in 2027, as the band weighs how to mark the legacy of its breakthrough debut. The singer addressed the situation during an April 6 appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” as talk continues about when the group could next reunite on the road.

Michaels said, “We’re hoping for ’27, ’cause I know it’s a big question. I think — I really strongly think ’27, without going into details yet, is going to be a good reunion year for Poison. I think it’s gonna be awesome.”

He also pushed back on recent claims that plans for a 2026 tour collapsed over money. Referencing comments made by drummer Rikki Rockett, Michaels said he is “anti-drama,” called Rockett his “brother,” and argued that disagreements should be handled privately. He added that if 2027 comes together, the band could get on the phone, lock in dates and “bring a great reunion tour.”

“Most people like the drama. I’m an anti-drama guy. I love the guys. I think ’27 is gonna be great.

“Rikki is my brother. And you’re allowed to agree and you’re allowed to disagree, but we’re gonna go out there and make it an incredible [tour], honestly,” Bret added. “If ’27 all works out here … we’ll jump on the phone, get the whole band on there, or at least me and Rikki just talking it up and be able to lay out some dates and bring a great reunion tour. But I’m grateful for Poison and I love my brothers and and sisters in the BMB [Bret Michaels Band, Bret’s solo group], and I don’t see any reason we can’t do both and make it great.”

The debate over the cancelled 2026 run intensified earlier this year after Rockett alleged Michaels sought a significantly larger share of the payout, a dispute Alternative Nation previously covered when the band’s negotiating standoff was reported in detail.

Michaels, however, insisted negotiations never reached the point where such a split was formally discussed, saying the process stalled while basic logistics like staging, routing, and support acts were still being worked out.

Poison last toured in 2022 as part of the stadium run with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard. For now, Michaels continues to play solo dates heavy on Poison staples, while Rockett has announced shows with a new group performing “Look What the Cat Dragged In” in full to mark the album’s 40th anniversary.
