Former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Chester Bennington made some emotional posts on Twitter reacting to the tragic death of his predecessor Scott Weiland.

Bennington replaced Weiland in STP in 2013 following his firing from the band. Weiland revealed that Bennington had quit Stone Temple Pilots last month in an interview with Alternative Nation.

“He’s not in the band any more,” said Weiland. “I heard he’s not in the band anymore.”

“[Chester’s] got a band where he gets paid $700,000 a night with, and with STP, the brand is kind of falling apart, which is a shame.”
