Rock musician Ted Nugent recently talked about the state of health and diet in the United States. He warned that the country has become the sickest society in the world due to its consumption of sugary and processed foods, according to comments shared by Ted Nugent.

The remarks concentrated on the prevalence of sugar-laden and processed products in the American diet, which Nugent argued are driving widespread obesity and chronic illness.

“I can’t watch it. It hurts my eyes and breaks my heart,” Nugent said.

“You giant people. What are you doing with the blubber fuel sugar sperm whale poison fat? Not only do they have a blubber fuel poison sugar sperm whale fat, but they make sure it’s as big as with whipped cream in it.”

He went on to mention statistics on pharmaceutical consumption in the U.S. relative to the rest of the world.

“So America is 5% of the world population. We consume 80% of big pharmacy chemical warfare,” he said. “We are the fattest, the slowest, the weakest, the dumbest. So if I’m being mean and hateful, no, I’m not.”

Nugent then framed his comments as a message of concern for loved ones struggling with poor dietary habits.

“So if you really love someone and they keep cultivating blubber with the blubber fuel poison sugar fat, tell them you love them and tell them to stop poisoning them,” he said.

“That’s all I’m saying. What is Mr. Hand grabbing to put up to Mr. Mouth to fuel your blubber with the heart disease, the obesity? We are the sickest society in the world because people make choices to be the sickest society.”

He closed by comparing American eating habits to diets he has observed elsewhere.

“My friends in Africa are eating sable guts, which is healthier than 80% of the food on the shelves in the stores,” Nugent said. “I know. I harp on this because I love my fellow man. And America can only be strong and smart. Not only is your body being destroyed knowingly and intentionally, you chose that.”
