Chester Bennington’s son Jaime commented on attending Linkin Park’s concert on Wednesday at the Forum in Los Angeles, “Uncle Mike [Shinoda] used my words against me at least 3-4 times last night. Knowing I was in the audience. Knowing how I’ve been treated by ALL of the band.

And on top of ALL THAT, he made me Chester Bennington again.

Apparently he’s going to tell the audience every show that they are the voice and presence of my father. Disgusting.”

Linkin Park embarks on this new journey after the band returned from hiatus after the tragic loss of their iconic frontman, Chester Bennington, in 2017. They recently unveiled a new single titled “The Emptiness Machine” from their upcoming album From Zero. This marks the band’s first release of new music in several years.

Linkin Park announced their comeback on September 5 through live stream event. However, fans quickly noticed the absence of two core members—guitarist Brad Delson and drummer Rob Bourdon—during the performance. Vocalist Emily Armstrong was also introduced as the new vocalist replacing Chester Bennington. Guitarist Alex Feder stepped in to fill Brad Delson’s role on stage. The addition of Emily Armstrong to the band garnered mixed reactions from the fans and Mike Shinoda has also addressed the same.

Linkin Park has also announced a short world tour which will see several arena shows across the world between September and November this year. The tour kicked off at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia.

Linkin Park show sold out

It has now come to light that Linkin Park’s show at Coliseo MedPlus in Bogota, Colombia on November 11th is sold out. The Linkin Park Underground presale completely sold out the entire venue of 24,000 tickets. Tickets for the concerts went on sale on Saturday, September 7th, but members of the band’s Linkin Park Underground fan club could get exclusive access to a pre-sale on September 6th.

Shinoda has stated that the shows will feature a setlist that is over two hours in length and production that took the band a long time to figure it out and perfect. He is excited & thankful that the presales have been popular with LPU fans.

During the live stream event, the band performed several hits. They played an intro that included bits of “Castle of Glass” and “The Requiem,” before playing “The Emptiness Machine,” which will be the lead single to From Zero. They performed the song live for the first time.

Linkin Park then performed a mix of their biggest hits (“In the End,” “Numb,” “Crawling”) and fan favorites (“Lying From You,” “Waiting for the End”). They also gave “Lost,” the re-discovered single from their Meteora 20th anniversary set last year, its live debut, with Armstrong leading a piano version of the top 40 hit.
