Chester Bennington’s son Jaime, who has heavily criticized Linkin Park for replacing his father with Emily Armstrong, attended the band’s show in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Linkin Park returned to the stage on September 5 through a highly anticipated livestream event. The reunion, however, came with a few surprises. Longtime fans noticed the absence of two core members guitarist Brad Delson and drummer Rob Bourdon during the performance.

Instead, the band performed with two new members –  vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. In addition, guitarist Alex Feder stepped in to fill Brad Delson’s role on stage.

While Rob Bourdon’s departure from the band has been confirmed, speculation about Brad Delson’s status in Linkin Park has been floating. Many wondered if Delson had also left the band after his absence from the show. However, it has been clarified that Brad Delson is still very much a part of the Linkin Park lineup.

With Brad Delson missing from the live performance, Alex Feder stepped in as the band’s touring guitarist. Many fans believe Feder will continue to fill in for Delson during live shows, while Delson remains involved in other aspects of the band’s work, such as studio recordings and interviews.

Mike Shinoda on Linkin Park tour setlist and Brad Delson

Linkin Park recently announced a short world tour which will see several arena shows across the world between September and November this year. The tour started at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia.

Shinoda has stated that the shows will feature a setlist that is over two hours in length and production that took the band a long time to figure it out and perfect. He is excited & thankful that the presales have been popular with LPU fans.

On Discord fans asked for Songs LP should play on Tour, and Mike said:

“ok stop calling out songs because we already picked the setlist and we can’t play everything hahaha”

Mike Shinoda has revealed that the current plan is that Brad will not tour but he is working behind the scenes. Shinoda said: “Brad is involved in everthing he’s usually been involved in except playing on stage. We wrote the show concept and set lists together.”
