Chris Cornell and his daughter Toni Cornell recorded a studio cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” before he died. Chris covered it live in 2015 and 2016. Toni Cornell has released it over a year after his death in honor of Father’s Day.

She wrote on Facebook, “Daddy,

I love you and miss you so much. You were the best father anyone could ask for. Our relationship was so special, and you were always there for me. You gave me courage when I didn’t have any. You believed in me when I didn’t. I miss your love everyday. Recording this song with you was a special and amazing experience I wish I could repeat 100 times over and I know you would too. Happy Father’s Day daddy, nothing compares to you.”

Toni first performed live in 2015 with her father, and then performed “Hallelujah” last summer on Good Morning America to honor her father and Chester Bennington.

Listen below, and think of the children living through Father’s Day without their Dads today.
