Chris Cornell was recently photographed with actor George Clooney at a London screening of The Promise, a film about Armenian genocide that Cornell also recorded a song for. Cornell then went to the Eleonas refugee camp in Athens, Greece. The camp primarily houses refugees from Afghanistan.
Cornell wrote on Twitter, “Spent the day with refugee families & IRC @ Eleones refugee camp in Athens. This family was fired upon from 2 borders. Baby lost for 2 days.”
The Chris & Vicky Cornell Foundation protects vulnerable children around the world (via Page Six), met “refugee families and [heard] firsthand the harrowing stories of their escapes, the separation of children from their parents and the stress and uncertainty of day-to-day life,” an organizer told Page Six.
Cornell also trashed President Donald Trump on Twitter yesterday. He wrote, “Fuck! Trump on pace to surpass 8 years of Obama’s travel spending in 1 year – CNN.”
