The official Chris Cornell Instagram account shared his final Valentine’s Day note to his wife Vicky from 2017 earlier this week.

I write this with the quivering hand that is guided by the fortunes of a heart lucky enough to know true love. My heart is a beating drum and my voice a clanging bell sounding to the world, I love you. Be mine in joy lit only by the glow of our shining love!

I love you so!

Chris

Vicky Cornell wrote about the note, “You have my heart forever, my unending gratitude for the light you brought to my life and all the blessings that have touched my soul so deeply. My memories are filled of us. I continue to hear you whisper you are ‘never far away.’ I love you more each day…….”

Vicky wrote about the Grammys, “Such a special yet bittersweet evening …. Im so glad I was able to share this beautiful song of Chris’s with the world – to see his voice and art live on forever. So incredibly grateful that it was recognized with a Grammy award for best rock performance. He would be so proud. We are so proud and so honored. Thank you @recordingacademy !
