UPDATE: Click here for the major announcement.

Today would have been Chris Cornell’s 54th birthday (though we’re posting this a bit early). If you or someone you know are struggling with suicidal thoughts, call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. You can also go to Narcotics Anonymous‘ website to attend a meeting in your area if you are struggling with addiction.

Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky has a ‘big surprise’ planned according to a new Instagram post that will come as ‘happy news’ to fans.

“As of my daughter, and her love to her husband has a big surprise! Let’s wait and celebrate together the happy news! We love you Vicky Cornell!”

Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky wrote a few weeks ago on Instagram that her late husband was not depressed around the time he died.

anamdro94 commented, “such a shame depression is the worst silent killer.”

Vicky responded, “@anamdro94 my husband was not depressed and should still be here.”

She wrote to another fan, Vicky responded, “@carlymoore653cm thank you for your kind words. While depression and anxiety are factors and make up for 50% of suicide there are many more factors. If my husband was not on that medication he would still be here.”

The official Chris Cornell Infinity Tee has been released. You can click here to purchase it for $24.99.

Chris Cornell’s official website describes it as: “This black, 100% cotton T-shirt features artwork by Matt Cameron and Josh Graham. Proceeds from the sale of this shirt will benefit The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation.”

“Soon after Chris passed away, I was inspired to make a care package for the last Soundgarden crew from the fateful April/May tour of 2017. With the help of Josh Graham and Chris Siglin, we created shirts, stickers and hoodies for our crew. Since March 2018, I have been wearing the ‘Chris stage shirt’ I designed and fans have been loving it on social media. Josh Graham and I created a new version of my ‘Chris stage shirt’ that I hope our fans will like as much as I do. Vicky Cornell and I have decided to make the shirt available to the public, with all proceeds going to our various charities. Wear it with pride. Thank you and Loudest of Love to you all.” – Matt Cameron
