Dave Grohl has revealed that he cheated on his wife and has a new daughter from that affair. The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman shared his confession on social media, where he explained that he is working hard to earn back the trust and forgiveness of his wife and children.
Grohl revealed his commitment to being a supportive parent to his new daughter and asked for understanding as his family moves forward. It is to be noted that a hitch-hiker even tried to contact Grohl recently as well.
I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together. – Dave
Grohl, known for his friendly and down-to-earth nature, has been a prominent figure in the music world since the late 1980s, first with Nirvana and then with the Foo Fighters, which he formed in 1994. He has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, and they have three daughters together: Violet Maye, Harper Willow, and Ophelia Saint. Grohl was filmed just weeks ago with his wife after he already had cheated, but before he announced the affair publicly.
This is Grohl’s second marriage; he was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997, during which he admitted to infidelity as well.
Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters recently criticized Donald Trump for using their music without permission during his presidential campaign. The band’s song “My Hero” was played at a rally in Arizona, but a spokesperson for Foo Fighters stated that they were not asked for permission and would have denied it if they had been.
The Foo Fighters are among several artists, including Celine Dion, who have publicly objected to Trump using their songs at campaign events. Dion had also called out Trump earlier this month for playing her hit “My Heart Will Go On” at a rally without her consent.
