Dave Grohl Reacts To Accusations Of Foo Fighters Performances With Fans Being Fake

During a recent Foo Fighters performance, Dave Grohl addressed accusations of impromptu performances with fans like KISS Guy and Pierce being rehearsed. Grohl made the comments before Pierce performed with the band for the second time in a year. Last year Pierce performed “Under Pressure” while this time he performed “Big Me.”

“Nowadays it happens every fuckin’ night. I look out and I’m like man, I don’t want some ding dong to come up here and shit the bed in front of their hometown. They never do! Anytime we’ve ever seen someone come up onstage with us, it is not planned, we have never met the motherfucker before in our lives. Has anyone seen the KISS guy? Who has seen the KISS guy? KISS guy was a bad motherfucker. But I don’t know how long ago it was, maybe like a month or two months into it, I know you fuckin’ know. But one night we brought up this kid to come play drums on stage with us. He was good.”

Alternative Nation can vouch for Grohl, as Pierce actually recently emailed us with a picture he took of Dave Grohl from behind the drum kit over the weekend (he says he wasn’t taking a selfie!). So these viral performances with fans are definitely real!

Pierce signed his email to us, “Pierce (AKA ‘Repeat Offender,’ ’90’s Shirt Guy,’ ‘Smarta** M*****F*****,’ ‘Ding Dong,’ etc…).”
