Dave Grohl discussed how Kurt Cobain’s death made him contemplate life in a new PBS interview, and how he never wants to die.

“When Kurt [Cobain] died, I remember the next day and thinking, ‘I still get to live. So I’m going to live every day like it’s my last one. Even if it’s the worst day, I’m going to try to appreciate it. I still feel that way, I never wanna die. I honestly feel like if I get to do this, and I’ve got these beautiful kids, as long as I can do this, and do this, I’m all good.”

Grohl also discussed why he loves performing live with Foo Fighters still in 2018, even as he pushes 50.

Walking out on stage “is honestly the best feeling in the world,” the @foofighters’ Dave Grohl tells @JeffreyBrown. “It’s like the theme from ‘Jaws.’ You just know, like, ‘Oh, someone’s going to get torn up.’ It’s like being shot out of a cannon every single night.”
