Dave Grohl Reveals Who Should Play Him In Foo Fighters Movie

Dave Grohl revealed who he would want to play him in a Foo Fighters movie in a new KLOS 95.5. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments, along with Taylor Hawkins.

Dave Grohl: I’m going for Shelly DuVall. Like look at Shelly DuVall from The Shining… she’s like,”Get Away From Me! Get Away From Me!”. Like, that’s me. That’s totally me. “Get Away From Me!”.

Interviewer: And Taylor, you’re going to play yourself because you’re an actor.

Dave Grohl: Jack Nicholson.

Taylor Hawkins: I don’t, I don’t know. Won’t they be dead? I don’t mean that!

The Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody is currently out in theaters and grossed $50 million in the United States in its opening weekend, the second highest opening for a music biopic ever. Foo Fighters have made a documentary, but not a biopic. A Kurt Cobain and Nirvana biopic has long in the works, where an actor would obviously portray Dave Grohl, and Courtney Love has discussed big names wanting to play Kurt Cobain like Jared Leto, but the film has yet to come to fruition despite the book ‘Heavier Than Heaven’ by Charles R. Cross being commissioned. Who would you like to see play Dave Grohl in a Foo Fighters or Nirvana biopic? Let us know in the comments below!
