David Lee Roth was recently spotted making a rare public outing in Los Angeles last week.
On June 26th, the Van Halen star was photographed leaving a building. He kept a low profile in a pair of brown Carhartt overalls, a brown work jacket, and brown cowboy boots. The rock legend, once known for his long hair and often going shirtless on stage, also wore a tan baseball cap and had a colorful bandana tied around his neck.
Roth’s L.A. outing came nearly two months after he performed his first solo concert in five years at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland, on May 3rd. His set list for the gig exclusively featured Van Halen classics.
That same day, Roth surprised fans by announcing a summer tour that is set to kick off on July 22nd in Paso Robles, California., and wrap in Napa, California., on September 14th. He will also make stops in Florida, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Oklahoma and more states.
Roth rejoined Van Halen — best known for hits including “Jump,” “Hot for Teacher” and “Why Can’t This Be Love” — for a North American tour in 2006 after a split of more than 20 years. The following year, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the band.
