Dee Snider Speaks Out About New Security Measures

Dee Snider recently talked about the security steps he’s taking after getting ongoing threats from a stalker. He shared the update on Twitter.

The Twisted Sister singer has been dealing with a persistent stalker, so he decided to tighten his security at public events. After a fan suggested he improve his safety, Snider explained how he protects himself while still meeting fans.

Snider Has Armed Protection at Meet-and-Greets

Snider said that during public signings and photo sessions, he always has an armed security professional right next to him.

“I meet people up close, signing and taking photos,” Snider wrote. “I have an armed professional standing right next to me, watching every single person. I still talk to everyone, but anyone who makes a wrong move will regret it.”

Snider made it clear just how dangerous the situation is. He revealed that the stalker has made violent threats toward him.

“I have a stalker who has been saying she is going to kill me and drink my blood,” he said.

This disturbing threat pushed him to increase his safety immediately.

Balancing Fan Interaction and Personal Safety

Even with armed security, Snider continues to meet fans and stay connected with them. He wants to stay safe without cutting himself off from the people who support him.

Many public names take similar steps when they face real threats. Armed security is common at signings, meet-and-greets, and public appearances.

The Reality of Being a Public Figure

Snider’s situation shows the real dangers celebrities can face from obsessive individuals. Even then, he refuses to cancel appearances or hide from the public. Instead, he brings trained security so he can safely sign autographs and take photos.

Security as a Warning and a Reassurance

Having armed security is now pretty much a necessary precaution. Snider’s openness about his safety measures acts as a warning to anyone thinking of causing trouble and gives fans peace of mind. His message couldn’t be clearer: he will stay friendly and accessible, but any threatening behavior will be handled quickly and professionally.
