Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh has addressed recent health problems while the band continues its “Long Goodbye” run in Las Vegas. In a message shared during the ongoing Sphere dates, Walsh thanked fans for their patience and said he expects to come through the past few months “stronger than ever,” a notable reassurance as The Eagles maintain a demanding multi-show schedule.
Walsh wrote that he has been “dealing with some health issues these last few months,” adding that he was moved by gestures from concertgoers, including a fan who travelled from Tokyo and brought him green tea.
“I wanted to thank my fan who came in from Tokyo and brought me green tea last night (and left no way for me to thank them!),” Walsh said. “I’ve been dealing with some health issues these last few months and will get through this stronger than ever.”
In the same statement, Walsh credited both medical staff and the residency audience for helping him push through. “I’m grateful for everyone being so patient with me, grateful for the care I’ve received here in Las Vegas and grateful for the fans who continue to show up each night and share their joy with us,” he said.
Walsh has remained a central figure in The Eagles’ live lineup for decades, and his latest update lands as the band continues the farewell-branded engagement at the Sphere. Past health scares have not kept him from returning to the stage, and his message suggests he intends to keep performing while recovering.
The Eagles have not announced any changes to upcoming dates in connection with Walsh’s comments. For now, his update appears aimed at reassuring fans that he is receiving care, feels supported, and is focused on continuing the run as planned.
