Eddie Vedder Emotionally Remembers Iconic Chris Cornell Performance

During Pearl Jam’s Pinkpop festival performance, Eddie Vedder remembered playing the festival for the first time in 1992 with Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. He said it was Pearl Jam’s first real European tour, though Soundgarden had already been there, and this is when Matt Cameron was with the band. Vedder said, “Back then I didn’t know the difference between Dutch and Danish, I wasn’t good at geometry. Now I know the difference, and I love everybody.”

Pearl Jam and Soundgarden’s Pinkpop 1992 performances are two of the most iconic performances in Grunge history, especially since they were professionally shot and took place during the bands’ prime periods, and the height of Grunge’s commercial popularity.
