Pearl Jam performed at the Mad Cool Festival on Thursday, and during “Better Man” Eddie Vedder sang part of “Hunger Strike” for the first time since Chris Cornell’s death in May 2017. Vedder sang the ‘going hungry’ part at times during the song. Temple of the Dog toured in 2016, but Eddie Vedder did not appear at any shows. The last time Vedder and Cornell sang “Hunger Strike” together was during a 2014 Temple of the Dog performance.
