Former Pearl Jam drummer threatened over Charlie Kirk post

Ex-Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese has faced threats to his life for posting a Charlie Kirk quote. Kirk, the conservative face of Turning Point USA, was assassinated yesterday on a college campus in Utah.

He commented to Alternative Nation, “Damn. Thank you for all of the threats of violence. If you knew me or followed my page, you wouldn’t take this out of context.

I do not condone violence and I absolutely think that this was a horrific event.

F**king click bait bullsh*t.

Why are Trump and the media jumping so quickly to divide Americans with the rhetoric of this murder being politically motivated.

It’s both dangerous and reckless.

Until they have the shooter in custody, there is no evidence supporting their claim that it was politically motivated. None.

The fact that Trump has chosen to use this tragic event to further divide is not surprising, but it is very troubling.

He and his administration are responsible for any fallout or violence due to the unsubstantiated claims made during his statement from the oval office immediately after the shooting.

The fact that he chose to use this event to divide Americans rather than to denounce all violence shows his intent.

Where was the outrage for the Democrat lawmakers that were murdered in cold blood by a Trump supporter in Minnesota? He didn’t address the nation. He didn’t order flags to be flown at half staff.

He didn’t even attend their funeral.

There was no mention of the children that were victims of the mass shootings yesterday. He offered no comfort to the people of our wounded nation that are suffering on both sides of the aisle.

Just more hate and vitriol.

He is not a well man.

This is not a healthy administration.

They are not working towards the safety and security of all Americans and his address to the nation yesterday puts a brighter spotlight on these facts.

My heart goes out to each and every person that is suffering from the events of yesterday.

Murder is a tragedy and no matter what our political leanings are, we can all agree on that. We must hold this administration and all administrations to the same level of dignity, decorum, responsibility and sensibility.

Their job is to work for the entire population of our country, not just their party affiliates and supporters.

It’s time to come together to fight tyranny in all its forms. Both foreign and domestic.

After all, that is what our country still stands for, right?

‘May we all live in a world with less vitriol and violence. Where our children don’t lose their parents. Where our parents don’t have to bury their children. Where we honor our elderly and neighbors. Where we honor life.'”
