Ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers and current Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro called out the new Geraldo Rivera television show ‘Celebrity Crime’ for using his likeness to promote the show.

“Hey @reelzchannel please take me out of your ad about ‘celebrity crime’ with the Geraldo show . You asked me to come on and I declined. No reason to use my image for your show. Needless to say, these are traumatizing issues and should be handled with care, not tabloid fodder. Thank you, Dave Navarro.”

Navarro’s mother was murdered when he was a teenager, which inspired his documentary Mourning Son.

Navarro’s former Red Hot Chili Peppers bandmates recently released a statement about the Los Angeles fires.

“Thank you everyone for the beautiful messages and for checking on us . Thankfully we are all safe and our familes are all safe. Please keep California in your thoughts and send as much positive energy and love as you can to all those who have lost friends or family members. And to the many whom have lost their homes. WE ❤️ U”

Flea also reacted to the death of Stan Lee on Instagram, “I was a happy little boy lost in the sanctuary of my Spider-Man comic books, collecting em, savoring each one, the piles of comics stacked high next to my bed. Thank you Stan Lee, what a creative whirlwind, wow. Rest In Peace in the divine. What an honor it was to help bring one of your characters to life with my scratchy little voice. ❤️????????❤️❤️.”
