Josh Freese has announced he is NOT FIRED from Foo Fighters. He referred to himself as the present tense drummer of Foo Fighters on Office Hours Live, so he was not a temporary drummer, despite rumors.

He says the drum parts aren’t necessarily the hardest, but the length of the Foo Fighters’ shows make them an endurance test.

A caller asked whether he’d be at Sessanta V2.0 this year, not knowing Josh’s obligations to Foo Fighters, and Josh confirmed that he’d be on the road with A Perfect Circle.

Renowned drummer Josh Freese is currently navigating a packed schedule as he splits time between two iconic rock bands: Foo Fighters and A Perfect Circle. Known for his versatility and unmatched energy behind the kit, Freese is managing the rare feat of juggling commitments with both acts as their 2025 tour calendars heat up.

Freese, who officially joined Foo Fighters in 2023 following the tragic passing of Taylor Hawkins, has since been a vital force in the band’s powerful live shows. At the same time, he has rejoined A Perfect Circle for a highly anticipated reunion tour, marking the band’s return after several years of silence.

Fans of both bands have expressed excitement online, praising Freese for bringing his signature style and precision to two of rock’s most respected lineups. Sources close to the drummer say he’s carefully coordinating rehearsal and travel schedules to give both projects the attention they deserve.

As both bands prepare for major festival appearances and headline tours, Freese continues to prove why he’s one of rock’s most in-demand drummers. His dedication and stamina are inspiring a new wave of respect from fans and fellow musicians alike.
