Foo Fighters recently announced a 12-show European for next spring and summer. The European leg of the “Take Cover Tour 2026” will see the Dave Grohl-led outfit perform at Liverpool, United Kingdom’s Anfield Stadium, Oslo, Norway’s Unity Arena and Stockholm, Sweden’s Strawberry Arena, among others, as well as at Madrid, Spain’s Mad Cool and Lisbon, Portugal’s NOS Alive festivals.
While fans are excited, the steep ticket prices and controversial pricing practices for the shows have sparked a wave of frustration.
Foo Fighters fans are frustrated
Standing tickets priced around €164–€180 in 55,000-plus capacity stadiums have sparked outrage, with many calling the pricing “unhinged” for large venues known for inconsistent sound quality. Some fans say they’ve reached a breaking point, choosing to skip the tour entirely for the first time.
Others pointed to additional frustrations, including “golden circle” upgrades, platinum ticket tiers, and near-identical setlists from recent Foo Fighters tours, making the high prices harder to justify. Several fans expressed disappointment that even their loyalty to one of their favorite bands wasn’t enough to outweigh the rising costs.
A recurring theme in the backlash is criticism of Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing, a system that automatically increases prices based on demand. Fans argue that the more an artist’s popularity grows, the more aggressively the platforms raise costs, leaving ordinary fans priced out.
