Fox News Panel Mocks RFK Jr, Kid Rock Workout Clip
Fox News hosts and guests were left openly puzzled this week after Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr appeared in a sweaty, shirtless workout video alongside musician Kid Rock, with the segment becoming a talking point on-air because of its unusual presentation and messaging.
During a discussion on The Five, The Independent reported that Kennedy and Kid Rock take turns on a stationary bike and doing push-ups in what appears to be a sauna, with Kid Rock at one point flipping the middle finger at the camera as a title card labels the clip their “Rock Out Work Out.”
Host Greg Gutfeld joked about which of the two men was influencing the other, quipping that viewers might assume Kennedy was the one being pulled into Kid Rock’s lifestyle before the video suggested the opposite. The segment also featured sharper fashion-based criticism, with Fox News military analyst Johnny Jones focusing on Kennedy exercising in blue jeans instead of shorts.
Jones said, “Listen, somebody needs to tell RFK Jr. it’s okay to wear shorts. I mean, bro, don’t be upset about your legs. I don’t care what they look like. Take it from me, nobody needs impressive legs. You look great with your shirt off. Throw the shorts on so we don’t all go, ‘Wow, that’s weird.’” Emily Compagno also chimed in that “jeans at the gym” may be her new pet peeve.
Despite the ribbing, the panel ultimately pivoted to Kennedy’s stated health goals, with Dana Perino saying she liked the idea of encouraging healthier eating and wider access to that information. The episode comes as Kennedy has been promoting his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda, including an updated food-pyramid approach that emphasises nutrient-dense foods and reducing highly processed options.
