Green Day Call Out ICE At Concert

It’s a known fact by now that Green Day aren’t big fans of President Donald Trump and anything to do with his administration, which includes ICE.

Green Day Call Out ICE at Ohana Festival

During Green Day’s set at the Ohana Festival, Billie Joe Armstrong used the stage to make a political statement. He spoke out against secret police, ICE, and censorship, rallying the crowd with his words before handing the energy back to the performance.

“We’re going to say no secret police in the streets. We’re going to say no to ICE. We’re going to say no to censorship. Can you feel me? The representative of California now has a floor.”

Green Day has always been political, so them going after ICE isn’t a shocker at all, especially considering how ICE has been detaining people and taking law into their own hands. Green Day also added ‘we’re not part of the MAGA agenda’ during American Idiot.

Green Day also called out Elon Musk

This moment followed an earlier shot at Elon Musk. Just before Green Day’s set, a SpaceX rocket lit up the sky during Cage The Elephant’s performance, which the band seemed to enjoy.

Armstrong mocked Musk by joking about the rocket and referencing the Epstein files. He also criticized Musk’s trucks, saying he saw too many of them in Orange County and questioned why people couldn’t just drive a regular pickup instead.

“I was [watching the rocket] like, there goes the Epstein files!” He then called out Elon’s ‘ugly trucks.’ He said he sees a lot in Orange County, and said, ‘Can’t you just be a regular redneck and have a f**king ram?”

Musk, who briefly worked with Donald Trump’s administration before distancing himself and later reconciling at a recent political event, was a target of Armstrong’s silver tongue throughout the night.
