Green Day has earned more than $47 million from 12 shows last month.
Green Day teases fans
The band has been dropping hints lately that they could well be on their way to next year’s Download (which takes place between June 13th – 15th). While we won’t get confirmation of that until the grand festival line-up unveiling on November 12th, the band have added some European summer shows in the meantime.
The trio have confirmed a brand-new festival date – at Florence’s Firenze Rocks on June 15 – plus some headline performances in Vienna, Luxembourg and Amsterdam (tickets for all go on general sale from 10am local time on Friday, October 25). In the same announcement, Green Day also tease that:
“Got a few more international dates announcing soon.”
The new dates are as follows:
June 2025
15 Florence Firenze Rocks
17 Vienna Stadthalle
30 Luxembourg Luxexpo Open Air
July 2025
2 Amsterdam Ziggo Dome
The California trio has also proudly unveiled the definitive American Idiot 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, available everywhere today. They have assembled massive Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Sets available in 8-LP Vinyl and 4-CD configurations.
Each box set also contains two Blu-ray discs. Also available today is a limited edition color vinyl of the original 2-LP album, plus an audiophile “One-Step” release of American Idiot. Additionally, the official music videos from the album – including “American Idiot,” “Jesus of Suburbia,” “Holiday” “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams,” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” have all been upgraded to 4k quality.
Both of these limited-edition Super Deluxe Box Sets feature the Original Album and a plethora of essential extras. Among many highlights, this treasure trove consists of 15 unreleased American Idiotdemos, a rapturous 15-track 2004 concert recorded at Irving Plaza in New York City capped off by 9 previously unreleased live recordings (including a cover of Queen’s “We Are The Champions”), and 14 songs previously available only as B-Sides and bonus tracks.
